Preimplantation Genetic Screening and Diagnosis

Preimplantation Genetic Screening (PGS) examines the embryo’s number of chromosomes in order to improve the likelihood of IVF being successful.

Preimplantation Genetic Diagnosis (PGD) studies the embryo for a known inherited disease in your family, such as cystic fibrosis, thalassemia or sickle cell anemia.

For more information about PGS or PGD, please speak with your physician or contact a Midwest Fertility office.
