Robert Colver, M.D., attended Indiana University where he graduated with distinction with a degree in biology and religion. He obtained his medical degree from the Indiana University School of Medicine. After completing a residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis, he served a fellowship in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility at the Medical College of Georgia and is board certified by the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology.
Recognized as one of the United States’ premier physicians by US News and World Report, Dr. Colver has also been acknowledged by his peers as one of Indianapolis’ “Top Doctors” in Indianapolis Monthly magazine for more than 20 consecutive years. The Consumer’s Research Council of America has also designated him as one of “America’s Top Obstetricians and Gynecologists.”
Nationally, Dr. Colver serves on the Medical Advisory Board for the Turner Syndrome Society of the United States. He is also a member of the Development Board for the Indiana University Simon Cancer Center.
Dr. Colver has a sincere interest in teaching and is a clinical assistant professor at the Indiana University School of Medicine. He has served as an associate director of the Obstetrics and Gynecology Residency Program at St. Vincent Hospital and has been involved in the training of medical students and residents for over three decades. This tenure has included lecturing at an annual medical ethics course that addresses various aspects inherent to the high-tech, ethically charged field of fertility care.
Utilizing evidence-based medicine, Dr. Colver’s primary focus is to help his patients conceive as quickly as possible by planning individually directed, cost effective therapies while avoiding the risk of high-order multiple pregnancies.
Dr. Colver and his wife have five children. He enjoys fly-fishing, skiing, scuba diving, running half marathons and playing guitar.
